After the workshop with Marcroy Smith I feel really inspired to work with colour layering and have practiced by starting with a simple ink sketch. I was really happy with this drawing, I made it after having inspiration from Gibb’s simple natural symbolic work, so for Bluebird I have simply returned to line drawings, which can then be manipulated into new mediums. Not wood carving however as I don’t want to make an exact replica of Gibb’s work.

Again, I think I’ve found another turning point in my drawing for research, and instead of just creating drawings then leaving them, developing the drawing and turning it into something new is the best direction for my work. By using this technique (these are only a few) also allows endless opportunities for development and image making
